Cheating Wife Stranded Me, but I Boarded Her Lover's Rideshare

The day before my wife's surgery, I was away on a business trip, and every ticket home was sold out. I was frantic. A coworker couldn't stand watching me stress and booked me an Uber home. The driver who took the ride was none other than my wife, Arlene, who was supposed to be lying in a hospital bed. And in the passenger seat sat an intern from her company. Without even turning around, Arlene said to me, "Sir, you booked the three-person private ride. This guy next to me is my husband, so he doesn't count toward the headcount."
