Another one of those class reunions, all vanity and one-upmanship. In a lavish private room, Judy Cobb, the beauty of our old class, pointed at me sitting off in the corner and said with a mocking grin, "Adam, it's not like you've made anything of yourself. Why don't you come pour the drinks at the head table? Saves us the tip for the waiter." The whole room burst out laughing, waiting to enjoy the show as I stormed off in a huff.
