The brief

On a scorching Fourth of July, Maya's fiancé Wes locks her in the back of his SUV to punish her for complaining. He disables the windows and leaves her without water, air-conditioning, or the rescue inhaler she needs for her asthma. Maya dies inside the car while Wes and his childhood friend Jade laugh and convince onlookers she's pretending. Watching as a ghost, Maya sees the truth emerge: Jade hid her inhaler, and the business Wes boasted about was built with Maya's money. The people who mocked her final moments are finally forced to face the consequences.

Every file in this archive is a catalogue entry: the title, the cast of details publishers release, and the opening chapters they let us unseal. The complete text lives in the official reading app we link to, never on this server.
