You Can't Live on Reluctance Alone

It was my daughter's third year at the international school, and on the day of the parent-child sports meet, on the sign-in sheet, under the "father" line for two different children, the same name was written. One child was my daughter. The other was named Finn James. The teacher laughed and teased, "The James family is truly blessed. A son and a daughter, both here at our school." I sent my brother the photo. He replied in a second. "Sis, just turn a blind eye." "Finn is James blood too, after all." Even my mother called.
