Board Chief's Daughter Made Me Bark; My Powerful Family Exposed
Chapter 4
Rowena turned her head and saw that it was my mother. Her face instantly twisted into an expression of utter contempt.
"And who might this be? So it's you—the Parkinson's cafeteria lady."
"Get your dirty hands off me! Don't dirty my limited-edition shoes!"
She jerked her leg back hard.
But she found that the withered, rough hand didn't budge in the slightest.
My mother looked at Anya on the floor, her head covered in blood, her fingers twisted.
Then she glanced at me, blood trickling from the corner of my mouth, pinned down hard against the sink.
Her eyes turned cold.
"Crack."
My mother gave her fingers a light twist.
Rowena's ankle dislocated and deformed in an instant.
"Ah! My foot!"
Rowena's shrill scream was ten times louder than before, and she crashed down hard onto the filthy, wet floor.
Rufus was so terrified that the ink pad in his hand tumbled to the side.
Ronald's face changed drastically, and he roared in fury.
"You're asking for it! Cripple her!"
The four professional bodyguards immediately let go of me, drew the steel batons from their waists, and with a roar lunged at my mother all at once.
I cried out, "Mom! Run!"
But my mother didn't retreat half a step.
She casually snatched up the mop leaning in the corner, folded it with one hand, and with a snap the hardwood handle broke in two.
No wasted tricks, no fancy moves.
She sidestepped the first baton, and the wooden stick struck the bodyguard precisely on the knee joint.
"Crack!" The first bodyguard dropped to his knees, wailing.
A backhand blow smashed the second bodyguard's ribs, the sound of bones breaking clearly audible.
The third, the fourth.
In less than ten seconds.
Four burly, professionally trained bodyguards all lay on the floor, arms and legs broken, writhing in agony.
Except for the wailing, the restroom was eerily silent.
My mother tossed away the broken stick and walked over to me.
She crouched down and tenderly wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth.
"Sonia, you poor thing."
She glanced again at Anya's twisted fingers, and her eyes went utterly cold.
Step by step she walked toward Ronald, who was already frozen with fear.
Ronald's legs shook as he backed away again and again, until he hit the corner with nowhere left to go.
"One ankle, in exchange for the slap and three broken fingers my daughter took."
My mother's voice wasn't loud, but it rang so hard it made your eardrums ache.
"You came out ahead."
"Or shall I make up the difference for you, Chairman?"
Ronald was so terrified that he yanked out his phone and started shouting frantically.
"Don't come any closer! My family's security bodyguards are coming!"
"Manager Lambert is already downstairs! You mob of nobodies are dead! I'll make you beg for death and get none!"
The words had barely left his mouth.
A squad of fully armed bodyguards came surging into the restroom like a tide, riot shields raised.
The black muzzles of their guns were trained on my mother in an instant.
"Security detail! Nobody move!"
