James didn't even blink. "Just a human maid who looked after me for a while."

Later, he became the revered Alpha heir of the wolf kingdom, while I turned around and married his greatest rival.

On my wedding night, James had his men kidnap me. He pinned me down, his eyes wild with rage. "Why the hell would you marry a wereless loser?"

I looked him dead in the eye and smiled. "Because he never treated me like a servant."
