Going 50/50 With My Husband Made Him Lose His Mind

My husband is incredibly handsome. I chased him for three long years before he finally agreed to marry me.

But right after our wedding, he told me we were going strictly 50/50.

On our second anniversary, I spent the entire afternoon cooking a massive, beautiful feast.

I waited half the night, but he never came home. By midnight, I was burning up with a 105-degree fever, barely conscious on the couch.

When he finally walked through the door, his very first words were, "Why did you cook so much food? Do you think ingredients are free?"

"It’s all cold now. What a waste of money. You're paying the lion's share of this month's grocery bill!"

Dizzily, I mumbled, "Ethan... I have a fever. Can you please get me some medicine?"

He let out a heavy sigh. "What a hassle..."

A few minutes later, he came back and tossed a single Advil onto the coffee table.

Then, he unlocked his phone. "This pack of Advil was twelve dollars for twelve pills. You owe me one dollar. Remember to PayPal me."

I froze. Then, a dry laugh escaped my throat.

Fine. You want to go 50/50? I’ll play your game. I’ll play it to the bitter end.
