I Birthed Eleven Heirs And Ruined My Ex’s Family

Chapter 2

The wedding was grand, and the prenup money landed safely in my bank account.

However, I didn't expect Ethan's parents to move in with us on the very second day of our marriage.

I was slightly taken aback, but Ethan shielded them and explained.

"I'm their only son, Chloe. You can understand that, right? My parents had a hard life raising me."

The classic "weaponized filial piety" routine.

I expressed my full understanding.

But Eleanor suddenly called out to me in a cold voice.

"Chloe, where are your manners? Come over here and carry these heavy bags."

A power play to show me my place on day one?

My eyes darted around.

I grabbed a heavy duffel bag. Suddenly, my hand "slipped," and *crash!*

An incredibly expensive-looking designer vase nearby was smashed into pieces by the bag.

Eleanor's heart practically bled. With a dark face, she pushed me away. "Fine, fine! You're so clumsy! Just stand aside!"

Looking utterly aggrieved, I walked over to help my father-in-law, Robert, carry his computer monitor.

He nodded with satisfaction. "Now that's more like it—"

But before he could finish his sentence, *crack!* The screen fell and was completely shattered.

His face turned green. "Don't touch anything! Just stand there!"

The three of them panted and groaned as they carried the rest of the boxes themselves, their faces dark with fury.

I played the good wife and poured them some water.

After drinking, Eleanor remembered her goal to assert her dominance.

"Now that you're married into the Sterling family, there are some rules I need to make clear. You are a Sterling now. Carrying on our family legacy is your primary duty."

"The Sterlings have rules. You must give us a grandson within three years of marriage. We've already paid the marriage settlement. If you don't produce a boy, you have to keep trying!"

Ethan stayed silent, clearly agreeing with his mother.

I nodded obediently. "So, Mom, is it true that you'll give me a $30,000 bonus for every baby? And I won't have to raise them myself?"

She glared at me.

"Of course."

I pretended to think. "Can you transfer that money to me now?"

Eleanor froze for a few seconds. Perhaps she didn't expect me to be so shameless, but she immediately transferred $30,000 to my PayPal.

Money makes everything easier.

I immediately grabbed Ethan's hand. "Come on! Let's go make a baby!"

Eleanor opened her mouth to speak, then stopped.

I tilted my head. "What's wrong, Mom? Do you guys want to watch?"

Eleanor quickly waved her hands in horror.

I dragged a very eager Ethan into our bedroom.

Luckily, Ethan was in great shape. After God knows how many rounds, we finally stopped.

The footsteps outside our door finally faded away.

Looking at my panting, exhausted husband, I curled my lips into a smile.

The money and the man—I was going to keep both.

It didn't take long before I got pregnant.

I had known long before this that my body was special.

I just didn't expect getting pregnant to be as effortless as drinking water.

During those days, not only did I have zero morning sickness, but I also had a massive appetite.

At first, they tried to manipulate me into doing chores. But after I "accidentally" broke a few more expensive items, they never dared to let me lift a finger again.

During my pregnancy, I didn't have to do a single thing, yet I received a mountain of cash gifts.

All in all, I raked in over a hundred thousand dollars.

I became a millionaire without feeling any pain.

On the day of delivery, they all assumed I'd be stuck in the labor room for over ten hours.

Nobody expected me to pop out five babies back-to-back in one smooth, painless go.

The Sterlings were both shocked and ecstatic.

We knew it was quintuplets during the ultrasound, but nobody expected all five of them to be boys.

Robert and Eleanor were so thrilled that they transferred another $20,000 to my PayPal.

Looking at those little pink bundles of joy, my heart bloomed with happiness.

They had no idea that this was just the beginning.

Five babies in one hospital room made a chaotic, earsplitting racket.

Eleanor smiled and brought one of the babies over.

"Chloe, the baby is hungry. Hurry up and breastfeed him."

The moment she said that, my eyes rolled back, and I fainted.

When I woke up, they frowned and asked me to try again. I immediately fainted once more.

After this happened several times in a row—where I would pass out the moment I got close to the babies—the doctor finally shook his head helplessly.

"It seems the mother has a rare, severe postpartum psychological aversion to baby care. You'll have to find another way to feed and raise them."

As the doctor spoke, the room fell into a dead silence.

Ethan let out an awkward laugh. "Maybe Chloe's body is just unique. Let's start them on formula and raise them ourselves for now!"

Left with no choice, they were forced to take care of the babies.

Eleanor took two, Robert took two, and Ethan took one. No one was allowed to relax.

The house became a madhouse.

Within just a few days, all three of them had sunken eyes and looked completely drained of life.

Eleanor finally snapped and suggested hiring nannies.

"This is not a life for humans!"

I shook my head in silent agreement.

With the nannies in place, their lives became much easier.

Robert and Eleanor once again tried to find a way to put me in my place.

"Chloe, although you birthed our grandsons and are the hero of this family, you are still their mother. You need to take on some maternal responsibility!"

I lowered my head with a shy, gentle smile.

"Mom, Dad, I know. But... I'm pregnant again. I'm afraid you'll have to keep taking care of the boys for now!"

The three of them at the dining table widened their eyes at the same time, screaming in unison:

"You're pregnant again?!"
