I Ordered Two Hot Guys While My Ex Begged
Chapter 1
In the third year of my marriage to Victor, his first love, Aurora, came back to the country.
For her sake, he even spat cruel words at me:
"She didn’t do anything wrong. Don’t be so vicious."
Fine. Just as he wished, I was done playing the role of his "vicious" wife.
But later, he clung to me like a dog, begging on his knees for my forgiveness:
"Charlotte, please, can we not get a divorce?"
I didn't even look back. I just went to the club and ordered two more hot male hosts.
"Charlotte, why isn't Victor shopping with you today?"
I kept my head down, scrolling through my phone, and gave a casual reply:
"Oh, him? He’s a total workaholic. He’s out of town on another business trip."
Predictably, they squealed in envy and started showering Victor with praises.
Their flattery was always the same: Oh, if he weren't working, he’d definitely be here holding your bags. Victor is truly a one-in-a-million husband.
My head started to throb just listening to them.
If I hadn't come to pick up Chloe’s pre-ordered birthday gift today, I wouldn't have run into them at all.
These girls smiled at your face, but who knew what kind of dirt they gossiped about behind your back.
Years ago, when Victor and I first got together, we had a small fight, and I complained to them a bit.
They twisted my words and ran straight to Victor’s mother, Penelope.
It resulted in Victor getting a massive lecture from his mom.
"Miss Christopher, your custom pink diamond necklace is packed and ready."
The sales associate walked up to me, handing over a gorgeous gift box wrapped in a red silk bow with a professional smile.
I snapped out of my thoughts, took the box, and opened it.
As expected of a custom collection from Hermès. It was definitely worth the month-long wait.
Holding the luxury piece instantly lifted my mood. I thanked the associate and stood up.
Turning to the girls sitting on the lounge sofa, I said, "You girls take your time. I have a dinner to catch. See you later."
Faking peace and happiness had become my most practiced skill.
