Chapter 1

I was beaten so badly I collapsed on the ground. The workers in the shop rushed out and surrounded me, protecting me in the middle.

In the crowd, an old woman glared at me and kept cursing.

“You heartless bastard! My son is only twenty-three, and now he’s in a vegetative state. You have to take responsibility!”

“If it weren’t for you, how would he have ended up like this?”

On the huge sign they were holding, red letters read: “Shady businessman killed my son. Pay with your life. Give me back my son’s healthy body!”

Next to it was a portrait, and it was clearly some stranger’s face.

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t remember ever having a customer like that.

Seeing this, I held my head and said, “Ma’am, every customer in our shop is on record. I never served your son. Are you sure you didn’t get the wrong place?”

The moment she heard that, she immediately slapped a purchase record in my face. “He bought it here. You have to pay!”

The sharp edge of the paper cut my cheek. I looked closely, and it said Zhang Liang!

But the banner said Liang Donghai!

“This isn’t him!”

I was stunned. The old woman rushed over, grabbed my hair tightly, and slapped me again and again.

“It was you. If I don’t get ten million, I’ll make you pay with your life!”

I subconsciously raised my hand to block her, and the workers beside me rushed in to shield me too.

The second her words fell, the people she brought with her swarmed in and started hitting us. The workers didn’t dare fight back, and before long they were losing ground.

I wiped the blood off my head and, while I had a second, checked the order on my phone. There was definitely no Liang Donghai in there, so I barked, “All of you, get the hell off me!”

For a moment, they all froze.

I stared at them. “Liang Donghai never bought anything from me!”

“Your whole family is trying to scam me!”

“Causing trouble and assaulting people like this? You’re all going to jail!”

They all froze, glancing at one another, and it was obvious they were getting scared.

But the old woman jumped up.

“You rotten bastard! My son said it himself. He bought it from you!”

“This is his payment screenshot! Forty-three thousand eight hundred!”

She shoved her phone in front of my face. When I saw the order number, it looked familiar.

That was one I sold a week ago, and the last three digits of the number were exactly 820!

I was a little confused, and the old woman kept gripping my collar. “You monster, you run such a big shop and still bully an orphaned mother and son! You have no conscience!”

I was furious, but this customer and the person in that photo clearly didn’t match at all!

“Pay me back for my son! Pay me back for my son!”

I took a deep breath. “Even if I did sell it to him, if you can prove it was a quality problem with the bike, I’ll accept the inspection result.”

“If it wasn’t, then you’re extorting me!”

My words made her explode with rage. She roared, “All that nonsense about motorcycle thrills and excitement, you’re the ones who advertise it! Otherwise my son wouldn’t have come to buy it!”

At that moment, I suddenly thought of someone. He had said the same thing before.

“Motorcycles are thrilling! I’m a hardcore fan, man. Just sell me one!”

My words made her jump three feet high.
