My Brainless Sister Ruined Her Life, So I Let Her

Chapter 5

The first thing I did when I got home was pack up my few belongings.

I would rather rent a tiny studio outside than spend another second under the same roof as that ungrateful leech.

Just looking at her things made me sick.

In our parents' house, the room with the best sunlight was Chloe’s bedroom, and the room next to it was her walk-in closet.

Meanwhile, I, the one who paid for everything, slept in the smallest, darkest utility room.

I had chosen that room myself back then, wanting to give my sister the best possible environment.

What’s hilarious is that Chloe never found this unfair. In fact, she often yelled at me to stay out of "her" space.

I let out a self-deprecating laugh and quickly packed my bags.

I didn't forget to take the important documents, like our parents’ house deed and my bank cards. Chloe was cunning; I had to guard myself.

I had already found a place near the university campus.

The apartment was great, and most importantly, the rent was cheap—only about $500 a month.

The landlord's family was moving out of the country in a hurry, which was the only reason I got such a steal.

After packing, I called a moving company to load up the furniture.

Everything in this house was bought with my hard-earned money. I wasn’t leaving a single piece of thread for Chloe.

By the time I finished, I was drenched in sweat. I collapsed onto the empty couch and chugged a bottle of water.

Before I could even catch my breath, my Snapchat buzzed.

When her pink profile picture popped up, my stomach literally churned with disgust.

[Natalie, what are you doing? Transfer me some money right now! Do you want Tyler and me to starve?]
