Rejecting My Alpha His Regret Came Too Late
Chapter 3
He seemed thoroughly pleased with his little masterpiece, completely dismissing all the Healers who had previously claimed he had fertility issues.
He immediately pulled out his phone and posted on social media: "To all the bastards who said I was shooting blanks, how's that for a slap in the face? Come next spring, I'll be a father to two pups! What can I say? I'm just naturally blessed."
Before I even stepped out of the pack territory gates, congratulations flooded my phone.
The pack group chat went into an absolute frenzy.
Some people kissed up to me, praising my fertility: "Joyce, you're amazing! Twins right off the bat!"
Others aggressively probed for my secret, wanting to pop out two at once to save trouble.
I ignored all of them and sent a cold, public message into the group:
"I think everyone is misunderstanding. I don't have the magical ability to carry two pups at once. The one in my belly took a fortune in medical treatments just to keep viable."
"However, the little Omega he's keeping on the side is younger and far more capable. She's already three months pregnant with his seed, promising a male pup. If anyone has questions, ask her instead—she clearly has more experience."
Ethan's parents were respected elders of the pack and cared about pack honor above all else.
They were also grateful people who knew that without my loyalty and support, the Crimson Pack would never have achieved its current wealth.
They traveled miles from their estate, demanding that Ethan cut all ties with Lily immediately.
Lily burst into tears on the spot, clutching her belly and screaming in pain.
Ethan’s mother, an experienced Luna, spat right in her face and scolded her harshly:
"You scheming homewrecker! We will never acknowledge a shameless woman like you. Take your little bastard and get the hell out of our pack!"
Unable to endure the humiliation, Lily fell to her knees and begged me for mercy.
"Joyce, I know you complained to Ethan’s mother, but I don't blame you. It was my fault for overstepping and hoping to share Ethan’s love. I don't deserve it. I'll leave right now."
With that, she wiped her tears and stood up, storming off as if wronged.
Ethan looked utterly heartbroken. He rushed after her, coaxed her into his car, and comforted her for a long time before returning to unleash his fury on me.
"Joyce, get on your knees outside and apologize to Lily right now!"
I looked at him coldly, refusing to yield an inch.
"Ethan, did you leave your brain inside Lily's womb when you broke our mate bond? I am the Luna, and she is just an Omega. Why on earth should I apologize to her?"
He laughed in sheer rage, glaring at me with dark eyes. "Fine. Then don't blame me if you spend the rest of your life sleeping alone in an empty bed!"
After that fight, Ethan packed his bags and moved out, openly living in shameless bliss with Lily.
In the days that followed, Lily never missed a chance to flaunt Ethan's affection for her.
A stream of photos flooded my inbox, showing them posing in front of a new luxury mansion.
"Because I felt wronged, he stood up to his parents for me and bought this mansion just to keep me safe from anyone who might hurt me."
"His photo gallery is filled with pictures of me now. Hehe, there's no room for any other woman."
"The nursery is already prepared. He told me he only cares about the pup I give him, and that the other one might as well be treated like a stray dog."
My eyes burned, but there were no tears left to shed.
During my eight years as the Luna of the Crimson Pack, I had cried more than enough tears for him.
From now on, not a single drop more.
That afternoon, I drove to the clinic and firmly booked an abortion.
The moment my back touched the cold operating table, a strange wave of grief washed over me.
"Mrs. Miller, are you absolutely ready?"
The Healer asked one last time, worried I might regret it.
"Yes. Please start right away. Every second I spend trapped in this suffocating mate bond feels like torture."
As the anesthesia was injected into my veins, an overwhelming exhaustion pulled me under, like falling into a long, dark dream.
