The Billionaire's Double Falling for the Black Widow

Chapter 4

I rushed back to the villa, feeling utterly lost. The moment I saw Serena, I knew she was the one behind this.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

Seeing her playing dumb, I gritted my teeth and demanded, "Why did you put someone in my place to steal my identity?!"

Serena stared at me for a few seconds, then crossed her arms and let out a cold laugh.

"Luke, who do you think you are? Do I need your permission to do anything?"

"You only have one path now. Play your part as Julian Vance perfectly. Do you understand?"

I took a few deep breaths. Ten minutes later, I finally calmed down and asked in a hoarse voice, "Where are we going?"

Serena checked her watch and went upstairs to change into casual sportswear.

"Let's go. Once you see him, you’ll be able to sleep easy."

Serena drove us herself. We drove all the way to a deserted warehouse near the docks before she finally cut the engine.

After waiting for about half an hour, a yacht pulled up to the dock.

We got on board. A tall, muscular man smiled at me.

"Mr. Davis, we finally meet."

That voice...

"You’re the butler who called me?"

I stood there, completely paralyzed, looking back and forth between the two of them.

Serena shrugged and ordered the butler, "Bring him out."

"What the hell is going on here?" My mind was a chaotic mess. The butler was working with Serena, so what about Julian Vance?

Was he...

Sure enough, my suspicion was confirmed.

The butler dragged a man out of the cabin. He looked exactly like me, but his skin was deathly pale and he was much thinner.

"Serena, you crazy bitch! I will never sign my shares over to you! Without me, the company will collapse!"

He was the real Julian Vance!

So Julian had been kept locked up by Serena this whole time.

The whole "body double" thing had been Serena's plan from the very beginning.

The medical treatment abroad, the six-month timeline—it was all a lie!

From the moment I answered that phone call, I had walked straight into Serena's trap.

I was like a pawn on a chessboard. Once selected, I didn't even have the right to fight back.

The man sitting in my old cubicle had completely erased Luke Davis from existence.

And he also erased my last way out.

Now, my only option was to cooperate with Serena and do exactly what she said.

Once I realized this, cold sweat soaked my clothes.

The way I looked at Serena was now filled with pure terror.

This woman was a monster.

Serena lit another cigarette.

"Julian, look at him. Do you think he can keep the company stable?"

Only then did Julian notice me standing in the shadows. Panic flashed through his eyes.

With just one glance, he knew exactly what Serena wanted to do.

"No! Serena, I’m the real Julian Vance! He’s an impostor! Have you thought about what will happen to you if this gets out?"

"Get out? Please. As long as you disappear forever, he will always be the real Julian Vance!" Serena sneered.

"What are you going to do? This is murder!"

The butler stepped up behind Julian, wrapping a thick rope around his neck.

"No! No! Please don't kill me! I’m not..."

Slowly, Julian stopped moving. His body went limp.

I licked my dry lips, but suddenly, I noticed something strange about the body.

He seemed to lack the commanding aura of a true billionaire, just like me.

But I didn't have time to think. Serena was already staring at me.

"Throw the body into the ocean."

I knew what this was. This was my loyalty test.

Now that I was on this boat, I either had to obey, or join him in the water.

Without a word, I dragged the heavy body to the edge and threw it into the dark waves.

As soon as we got back to the villa, Serena wrapped her arm around mine.

"Babe, let me tell you one more thing. Lily is also working for me."

"In fact, I’ve already moved her into the villa. Tonight, the two of us will reward you together..."
