Chapter 10

Tyler finally lifted his boot.

My right hand was a bloody, mangled mess.

My finger bones were twisted at horrific angles.

Swelling rapidly.

I collapsed onto the floor like a ragdoll.

Gasping heavily for air.

Every single breath sent waves of unbearable agony through my body.

Despair.

Suffocating, absolute despair swallowed me whole.

The dream I took pride in.

The passion I lived for.

At this very moment, was stomped into nothingness.

"What is going on here?"

Suddenly, a cold, deep male voice came from the doorway.

It was Julian.

He pushed the door open and walked in.

Followed by several high-level executives from the company.

When he saw the shattered violin and me lying in a pool of blood.

He froze in his tracks.

His pupils shrank.

"Valerie..."

He instinctively stepped toward me.

But Bianca, like a frightened bird, threw herself into his arms.

"Julian!"

"You're finally here!"

"Valerie... she went crazy!"

"She didn't just smash the violin you gave me, she even tried to attack me!"

"If Tyler and Victoria hadn't arrived in time, I don't know what she would have done to me..."

She sobbed hysterically.

Her body trembling in Julian’s embrace.
