After Daughter Accused Me of Stealing Grandson's Yogurt, I Quit

After I retired, I turned down a job paying thirty-two thousand a month and moved into my daughter's house to take care of my grandson for free. The boy grew up plump and healthy in my care, and my daughter told everyone how lucky she was, that her own mother was a top-tier postpartum caregiver right there at home for nothing. That night, I was so hungry it hurt, so I took a cup of yogurt out of the fridge. I had barely taken two sips when my daughter's mother-in-law fixed her eyes on the cup in my hand.
