My Ex-Wife Framed Me, So I Took Everything

Chapter 3

Chloe was still sitting on my lap, her arms around my neck. To an outsider, she looked like a loving wife. But I knew better. This was the first time she had initiated any physical contact in months.

For the past few months, Chloe had treated me like garbage. She wouldn't let me touch her, ignored my texts, and barely smiled at me.

In my past life, I was too naive. I trusted her blindly. If they hadn't come to the prison to brag, I might have never known she was cheating.

Hearing my question, Chloe flinched. Panic flashed in her eyes, and she quickly looked away. "Babe... you're so funny. Why would I hide anything from you? I'm your wife."

"I know I've been a bit distant lately. I just haven't been feeling well, so I wanted to make it up to you tonight."

This lying snake. I wanted nothing more than to slap her across the face.

I stared at her, pinching her chin gently. "Really? Not feeling well... for months?"

"You're not seeing someone else behind my back, are you? Is that why you've been so cold?"

My words hit her like a thunderbolt. Cold sweat broke out on her forehead. "I... I..."

She panicked completely. Her usual arrogant attitude vanished, and she couldn't even form a coherent sentence under my intense gaze.

I laughed, hiding my disgust, and hugged her.

"Haha, look at you! I'm just kidding. Only a worthless piece of trash would cheat on their spouse. I know you're not like that."

Chloe let out a long breath of relief, thinking I was actually joking. But when she heard my description of "a worthless piece of trash," her face turned incredibly awkward, and she didn't know how to respond.

She forced a fake laugh. "Ryan, you're so bad! Don't joke about things like that."

"So, about what I just suggested..."

I had a bold plan. I needed to let her think her trap was working, but with a twist.

"Not tonight, babe. I'm actually feeling a bit tired. Let me rest for a few days, and then we'll do it..." I gave her a suggestive wink.

Chloe smiled back, looking relieved and excited.
